Over the weekend, a shooting incident at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas, resulted in two fatalities and six injuries, including two children.

The tragic event took place during a Juneteenth celebration at the park, located approximately 19 miles north of Austin. The victims were shot around 11 p.m. on Saturday night.

According to Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks, the shooting stemmed from an altercation between two groups during a concert at the event. The violence erupted when someone opened fire.

Details of the Shooting Incident

Despite not being involved in the initial argument, two individuals lost their lives at the scene. The shooting took place near a vendor area, away from the concert stage.

Emergency Response and Injuries

Immediately following the shooting, police officers and emergency personnel provided medical assistance to the wounded. Six individuals, including two children, were transported to local trauma centers with severe injuries.

Ongoing Investigation

As of Sunday, law enforcement had not apprehended any suspects, and the number of individuals involved in the shooting remained unknown. Chief Allen expressed deep sorrow for the families affected by the senseless violence.
