The Purple Nation: A Unity and Truth Rally for a Divided Country
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) —
In a world where division and polarization seem to dominate, one organization is taking a stand for unity and truth. The Purple Nation, founded by Patrick Hennessey, is bridging the gap between red and blue to create a vibrant shade of unity.
The Birth of The Purple Nation
Inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement in 2011 and motivated by the events of the January 6th attack, Hennessey decided to start The Purple Nation. This organization aims to bring people together and empower them to express their voices.
Uniting the Community Through a Rally
Friday night witnessed a remarkable display of unity and truth as the community gathered for a rally organized by The Purple Nation. Patrick Hennessey emphasized the importance of people showing up and exercising their rights to free speech and assembly.
With live music, political and spiritual activists, and inspiring spoken performances, the event drew dozens of attendees. Mikala Francisco and Joe Sinopoli were among the voices advocating for unity and emphasizing that, at the core, we all desire the same things.
The Craving for Change
Patrick Hennessey strongly believes that people are tired of the current political landscape. He questions the options presented to voters and asks whether they want to choose between “Twiddle Dee” or “Twiddle Dum.”

During the rally, supporters of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made their presence known. However, the unity and truth rally experienced a momentary disruption when someone stole the microphone and referred to RFK Jr. as an “eco-fascist.” Nonetheless, the majority of attendees remained committed to opening minds and finding common ground.
Seeking Truth Together
Hennessey expressed his frustration with the echo chambers that people find themselves in, where they only hear ideas that align with their preconceived beliefs. The Purple Nation aims to break those barriers and encourage people to come together in public spaces to share and seek the truth.
