FOX8/Old Dominion Triad Holiday Concerts and Food Drive Return for 36th Year
High Point, N.C. — The highly anticipated FOX8/Old Dominion Triad Holiday Concerts and Food Drive are back for their 36th year, and there are four dates to mark on your calendars.
The primary goal of these concerts is to help the Salvation Army commands of the Triad stock their food pantry shelves. To maximize the impact, this year’s concerts will be exclusively aired on television and on MyFOX8.com, aiming to raise even more money and food for the Salvation Army.
Throughout December, FOX8 will broadcast a series of holiday music concerts featuring local musicians. These concerts can be enjoyed live on TV or any device, and can also be replayed on the FOX8 Special Presentations section of MyFOX8.com.
The first two concerts will be aired on December 6 and December 13, starting at 7:30 p.m. Each concert will run for 30 minutes. On December 20, a special Day of Giving will take place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., followed by an hour of music starting at 7 p.m. Viewers are encouraged to participate and make donations during this important telethon. Finally, on December 25, viewers can enjoy two hours of music starting at 8 a.m.
For those who are unable to watch the concerts but still wish to contribute, donations can be made through the secure donation page set up by the Salvation Army. Rest assured that 100% of the money donated will go directly to the Salvation Army in your community to support their mission of feeding those most in need.
Jim Himes, FOX8 WGHP Vice President and General Manager, expressed his excitement for this year’s event, stating that the goal is to best serve the needs of the Salvation Army. He also highlighted the increased accessibility of the concerts to viewers and digital users, thanks to the partnership with Old Dominion.
