The search for escaped inmate Danelo Cavalcante in Pennsylvania has come to an end, as he is now in custody, according to a law enforcement official close to the investigation. Pennsylvania State Police are planning to hold a news conference at 9:30 a.m. to provide further details.

Manhunt Ends

After a two-week manhunt, the escaped killer has finally been apprehended. The search recently focused on South Coventry Township in Chester County, where Cavalcante was believed to be armed. As a precautionary measure, schools were closed and residents were put on alert, while law enforcement authorities scoured the area.

Unarmed Encounter

On Monday night, Cavalcante was spotted shirtless at a homeowner’s garage. According to Pennsylvania State Police Lt. Col. George Bivens, the fugitive entered the garage and grabbed a .22-caliber rifle. The homeowner, in an attempt to protect himself, fired his pistol at Cavalcante as he fled. However, there is no indication that the fugitive sustained any injuries.
