On a fateful Saturday night in Kensington, a Philadelphia police officer was critically injured in a shooting that led to multiple arrests, including a person of interest. The incident unfolded when two officers conducted a car stop in the 3500 block of F Street.

During the live stop, the officers noticed a holster in the vehicle’s inventory. Subsequently, a man fled from the car and fired three shots at one of the officers, hitting him in the neck. The 31-year-old officer, a six-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, was rushed to Temple University Hospital’s surgical ICU in critical condition.
