Remembering Mike: A Life of Laughter and Love

Michael James Fox, affectionately known as Mike, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2024, in his hometown of Morgantown. Born on July 21, 1960, to Robert Fox and Jeannine Brown Fox, Mike’s life was characterized by warmth and laughter that left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

A proud graduate of University High School, Mike was deeply rooted in his community, cultivating lifelong friendships and a strong sense of camaraderie. His dedication to social bonds was evident in his involvement with Moose Lodge #264, where his humor and kindness brightened every room he entered. Additionally, he was a familiar face at the Mason Jar, where he enjoyed socializing with everyone who crossed his path.

Above all, Mike cherished his family. He is survived by his sisters, Luella Maxwell and Christine Varner, along with his nieces and nephews. His special friend, Kristen Winters, and his beloved cat, Shrek, were constants in his life, embodying the love and joy that defined his existence.

Visitation for Mike will be held at McCulla Funeral Home on Friday, May 24, from 5-7 p.m. Following the visitation, cremation services will be provided by McCulla Funeral Home.
