Leonard Floyd Joins San Francisco 49ers

Former free agent pass-rusher Leonard Floyd has officially inked a deal with the San Francisco 49ers, bringing his talents to the Bay Area.

“San Fran!!!!! Im giving you my best yet,” he excitedly shared on Twitter.

The contract details reveal that Floyd will be earning $20 million over a two-year period, as reported by NFL Network.

Floyd’s Impactful Stint with Buffalo Bills

Last June, Floyd signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. His performance in the 2023 season proved to be a game-changer for the team, showcasing his prowess as a pass-rusher. He notably started all 16 regular-season games and emerged as a key figure in the defensive lineup.

By the end of the 2023 season, Floyd matched his career-high record of 10.5 sacks, a feat not seen since Lorenzo Alexander’s 12.5 sacks in 2016.

A Career Highlighted by Success

Despite being drafted by the Chicago Bears as the ninth overall pick in 2016, Floyd’s journey took him to various NFL teams. His time with the Los Angeles Rams culminated in a Super Bowl victory.

With an impressive track record of 58 sacks, 122 quarterback hits, and 370 tackles over eight seasons, Floyd continues to leave his mark on the NFL.
