Judge Condemns Trump’s Disparaging Social Media Post
Judge Arthur Engoron expressed his disapproval of Donald Trump’s recent social media attack on his clerk during a court session. The judge deemed the post to be not only false but also personally identifying, and ordered its deletion. However, the post had already been emailed to millions of people before it was taken down.
Zero Tolerance for Personal Attacks
During the court session, Judge Engoron made it clear that personal attacks against any member of his court staff are unacceptable and will not be tolerated. He firmly stated that he will not hesitate to take serious action against anyone who engages in such behavior.
Order to Prohibit Public Comments
The judge issued an order that forbids all parties involved in the case from making any public comments about the court staff. This includes posting, emailing, or speaking about any member of the staff. Failure to comply with this order will result in severe sanctions.
Trump’s Attack on Engoron’s Clerk
Donald Trump, in a post on his platform Truth Social, launched an attack on Judge Engoron’s clerk, accusing her of being in a relationship with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. Trump even shared a picture of the two together. The connection between the clerk and Schumer, however, is not immediately clear.
Unusual Activity and Court Proceedings
During the lunch break, there was unusual activity outside the courtroom, and Trump entered and exited multiple times. Additionally, there was a brief delay before the afternoon session of the trial began.
Trump’s Presence at the Civil Trial
For the past two days, Donald Trump has voluntarily attended the civil trial in New York. The trial, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, accuses Trump and his co-defendants of repeatedly committing fraud by inflating assets to obtain favorable loan and insurance terms.
