Joachim Tan, a 32-year-old studio manager and trainer at SUMHIIT Fitness Orchard Gateway and Tai Seng, is passionate about leading a healthy and active lifestyle. He believes in the concept of IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) and enjoys Japanese cuisine. Joachim hits the gym at least four times a week, focusing on strength and hypertrophy-based workouts. His journey into fitness began with basketball, but he soon discovered a love for weightlifting and personal training.

### Transition to Personal Training

After his school basketball days, Joachim developed a keen interest in personal fitness development. This passion led him to become a personal trainer, starting at a gym for women and later joining F45 as their founding trainer. His experience at F45 exposed him to the world of high-intensity interval training (HIIT), which eventually led him to his current role at SUMHIIT Fitness.

Despite the demanding roles, Joachim finds fulfillment in helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Joachim is excited about the cutting-edge fitness concept of SUMHIIT, which offers a unique workout experience endorsed by researchers at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). The workout regimen at SUMHIIT combines high-intensity cardio with strength-building exercises, targeting every muscle group for a comprehensive full-body workout. The optional post-workout segment focuses on core exercises to tighten the abs.
