Reports from the U.S. Department of Justice reveal that five individuals from Florida have been charged with various offenses related to the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol building.

Arrests and Charges

Olivia Pollock, Joshua Doolin, Joseph Hutchinson III, and Michael Perkins were arrested on June 30, with Jonathan Pollock still at large. The charges against the defendants amount to a total of 19 counts, including assault on law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

Court Appearances

Perkins, Doolin, and Pollock made their initial court appearance in the Middle District of Florida on the day of their arrest, while Hutchinson appeared in the Middle District of Georgia on the same day.

Unsealed Documents

The Justice Department unsealed the documents two days after the six-month anniversary of the Capitol attack, which occurred during a special joint session of Congress to certify President Joe Biden’s win.

The defendants, including Doolin, Perkins, Hutchinson, and Pollock, were charged with assaulting officers and other related offenses. Jonathan Pollock allegedly assaulted three police officers, while Perkins used a flagpole in his assault. Olivia Pollock punched an officer and attempted to take a baton.
