Massachusetts landowners have until November 13, 2023, to apply for ACEP IRA funding. Apply before the National Sign-up Batching deadline to be considered.

USDA-NRCS Signup Period in Massachusetts

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) in Massachusetts is announcing the signup period for fiscal year 2024. This includes the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) Wetland Reserve Easement (WRE), and Agricultural Land Easement Program (ALE).

Important Deadlines to Note

While USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) accepts applications for these programs year-round, Massachusetts landowners must submit their applications by the National Sign-up Batching deadline of November 13, 2023, to be considered for ACEP IRA funding. The NRCS application ranking deadline is December 13, 2023, with National Selection for Funding on December 22, 2023.

NRCS provides technical and financial assistance to Massachusetts producers and landowners for conservation improvements on their land. These programs benefit natural resources, the environment, and the agricultural operation’s bottom line.

Ranking Dates and Funding Periods

Ranking dates for all programs and states are available on the NRCS website. Applications received after the ranking dates will be deferred to the next funding period.
