This statement followed revelations from a recent report by the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight, which presented conflicting testimony from a Secret Service agent and former White House staffer Cassidy Hutchinson. Trump took to Truth Social to share an article from Just The News, claiming that the committee withheld crucial evidence from the public, implicating former Rep. Liz Cheney in the process.

In response to the revelations, Trump lashed out, stating that Cheney and others should face jail time for their involvement in the committee’s proceedings.

Legal Challenges Await Trump

Trump finds himself entangled in various legal challenges, including an investigation into his alleged role in the 2021 Capitol attack. Hutchinson, a key witness for the Jan. 6 committee, previously testified that Trump attempted to seize control of the steering wheel during the insurrection. However, the Secret Service agent driving the vehicle contradicted Hutchinson’s account, denying that Trump made such a move.

Cheney, the vice chairwoman of the committee, hit back at Trump’s claims, accusing him of spreading lies to evade accountability. She emphasized that the truth would prevail, despite Trump’s attempts to hinder the investigation.
