Fact-Check Reveals Biden Team’s Brutal Use of Donald Trump Jr.’s Words on Jan. 6

Donald Trump Jr.’s Latest Controversial Claims

Donald Trump Jr., the son of former President Donald Trump, stirred up controversy with his recent statements regarding the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S Capitol. He labeled it a “fake insurrection” and suggested that the “feds” were facilitating the chaos.

Fact-Check Response from Joe Biden’s Campaign

In response to Trump Jr.’s claims, President Joe Biden’s campaign promptly fact-checked him by sharing screenshots of text messages sent by Trump Jr. to Mark Meadows, the then-White House chief of staff. The messages urged immediate action from President Trump to address the escalating situation at the Capitol.

Inaccurate Claims About Rioters Being Unarmed

Trump Jr. also asserted that the Jan. 6 rioters were unarmed. However, an investigation revealed that many of Trump’s supporters were, in fact, armed. Despite this knowledge, Trump Jr. allegedly wanted to allow them into his rally and instructed the Secret Service to remove metal detectors.

Incriminating Testimony

A witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, who served as Meadows’ assistant, recalled Trump Jr. dismissing concerns about armed supporters, stating, “I don’t care that they have weapons. They’re not here to hurt me.” Hutchinson also remembered Trump Jr. suggesting that the armed supporters could proceed to the Capitol.
