TDEC to Hold Public Input Session for Home Energy Rebate Programs Under Inflation Reduction Act

Two rebate programs are funded – the Home Efficiency Rebate Program and the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate Program. Eligible households can apply for rebates upon program launch, receiving discounts on energy-saving home projects.

This program offers rebates to all households, with the amount based on energy savings and income eligibility. Tennessee has allocated $83.8 million for this initiative.

Designed for low- or moderate-income households, this program sets rebate amounts as per the Inflation Reduction Act. The state’s allocation for this program is $83.3 million.

The public input session on May 3 will outline TDEC’s proposed implementation plan and timeline. Stakeholders can share feedback during the session or via a post-event survey. Comments will be accepted until May 24.

Individuals, households, government agencies, and organizations are encouraged to attend the session or join via call. The meeting presentation will be recorded and available online for reference.
