Multiple Injuries Reported

Five people sustained injuries in a shooting following a dispute at a nightclub in the Dupont Circle neighborhood in Northwest D.C. late Friday night. The incident escalated after the dispute that originated inside the nightclub spilled onto the streets. For more information, visit here.

Police Response and Investigation

Reports of the shooting on the 1200 block of Connecticut Avenue NW and 18th Street NW were received around 11:30 p.m. Four men and one woman were wounded during the incident and taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. One suspect is in custody, and a weapon was recovered from the scene. The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the origins of the dispute. Additional Shooting Incident

Another shooting occurred early Friday morning about a mile and a half away, in the 1300 block of U Street, NW, resulting in a fatality. The police are seeking two individuals associated with this incident, one of whom was described as wearing a white or gray sweatshirt and riding a motorcycle.
