Exciting NFL News: Patrick Queen Signs with Pittsburgh Steelers

Top Inside Linebacker

Free agent linebacker Patrick Queen recently announced his decision to join the Pittsburgh Steelers on a lucrative three-year, $41 million contract. Queen, once considered an underachiever, has transformed into a defensive powerhouse over the past couple of seasons.

Shift in Baltimore

Queen’s future with the Baltimore Ravens became uncertain following the acquisition of Roquan Smith in October 2022.

Impressive Stats

During the last season, Queen delivered outstanding performance with a career-high of 133 tackles, ranking second on a Raven’s defense that led the NFL in fewest points allowed (16.5). He earned recognition as second-team All-Pro and received his first Pro Bowl invitation.

Noteworthy Achievements

As a first-round pick in 2020, Queen joins the ranks of Hall of Famer Ray Lewis and five-time Pro Bowler C.J. Mosley as one of three Ravens players with three seasons of over 100 tackles, along with at least one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Rise to Success

Queen, at the age of 24, overcame challenges in his initial seasons, showing significant improvement after transitioning from the middle to the weak side with the support of Smith in Baltimore.

Future Plans

With a total of 454 tackles, 37 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, 6 fumble recoveries, and 4 interceptions in 67 games, Queen leaves behind an impressive legacy in Baltimore. The Ravens are now looking to fill his position with Trenton Simpson, a third-round draft pick from last year.
